He was born to Erma Jane Holliday Little and James Robert David Little in Kirkville, Mo. As a young boy, David's family moved to Oregon, eventually settling into the greater Eugene area. He married Jean Ann Montgomery, just over a year after meeting her on a blind date, in Medford on March 22, 1970. David graduated from the University of Oregon a few years later, after spending 11 years off and on obtaining his college education while working full time and helping raise his two young children. David worked as a salesman in Eugene for a time, selling men's suits at Sears and J.C. Penney, among other things. He then moved on to selling real estate. However, having a young family, he struggled with the odd hours and inconsistent pay. Opportunity knocked with a job offer at TransAmerica Title, and he quickly received a calling toward management in Gold Beach in 1979. He brought his family to Gold Beach in 1980, and he purchased Curry County Title in February of 1983. David found a place he truly loved in his home of Gold Beach, where he raised his son, Bryan David Little and daughter, Kelly Marissa Margolis (Little). He built many meaningful friendships and enjoyed being “Mr. Curry County Title” for the many years he ran that business prior to retirement. David sold the business to his son in January of 2010, but continued to work with Bryan. David spent many years as a Rotary member, a member of the local school board, and an athletic coach. He always had time for those in need, was always quick to give love and support, and he loved to hug all those he cared about as often as he could. His grandchildren, David Rogue Little, Isla Jean Little, Benjamin David Margolis, and Marisa Jean Margolis all made his eyes light up when he saw them. David was loved and will be missed. There will be a memorial gathering at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Gold Beach High School, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dave Little Scholarship through the Gold Beach Education Fund.
