Blues Society Night at Alex's Apr 22, 2010 12:00 AM A A The Ashland Blues Society will present its monthly blues jam at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Alex's Plaza Restaurant, 35 N. Main St., Ashland. Members of ABS, including Michael Ruiz, Mark Howard, Terry Erdmann, David Pinsky and Bill Fisher, will play blues standards and showcase songs by blues artist Jimmy Reed. Michael Smith, Robbie DaCosta, Irving Lubliner and others also will play at the jam. The monthly jam is a fundraiser and membership drive for ABS, committed to supporting blues education and excellence. Cover is $2. For more information, call 541-482-8818.
