Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend March 19, 2006 Emergency Services Felony arrests Weapons — Heather Nicole Langfield, 24, of the 2300 block of Merry Lane, White City. Langfield appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday on an indictment charging her with possession of a concealed knife. She was booked into the Jackson County Jail, then released. Drugs — Zachery Ryan Show, 33, of the 100 block of Graham Way, Talent. Shaw appeared in Circuit Court Friday on an indictment charging him with possession of cocaine. He was booked into jail and released. Drugs — Travis Billy Cox, 19, of the 2100 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Cox Friday on charges of possession and delivery of a synthetic drug and delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. He was lodged in jail on $50,000 bail. Sex abuse — Paul Anthony Gaebel, 53, of the 200 block of Barnett Road, Medford. Talent police arrested Gaebel Friday on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, failure to register his address as a sex offender and harassment. He was lodged in jail on $1,008,000. Assault — Ryan Lee Armstrong, 19, of the 600 block of Plum Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Armstrong Friday on a charge of third-degree assault. He was lodged in jail on $25,000 bail. Drugs — John Michael Ford, 27, of the 7900 block of Upper Applegate Road, Jacksonville. Medford police arrested Ford on Friday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was lodged in jail on $5,000. Advertisement Drugs — Shawna Kathleen Carey, 32, of the first block of Hickory Lane, Central Point. Central Point police arrested Carey Saturday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, carrying contraband and a probation violation warrant. She was lodged in jail on $15,000 bail. Drugs — Christopher Lewis Conner, 23, of the 800 block of Newtown Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Conner Saturday on charges of possession of cocaine, providing false information to police and a probation violation warrant. He was lodged in jail on $14,000 bail. Criminal mischief — Ian Samuel Dooley, 24, of the 100 block of Harrison Street, Ashland. Ashland police arrested Dooley Saturday on charges of first-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was jail, then released when he posted cash on $8,000 bail. Miscellaneous reports Missing skier — Mount Ashland. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department search-and-rescue team found a missing skier at 1 a.m. Saturday. Josh Boer, 24, of Portland, was found cold and wet on Forest Service Road 2060, 26 miles from Lithia Park. He had been last seen at the ski area about 4:30 p.m. on the northeast side below the lodge. Ski patrol found tracks beyond the ski boundary, but couldn’t find Boer. They called the search-and- rescue team about 8 p.m. Boer, an experience skier who had never skied at Mount Ashland before, told rescuers that he was unprepared for unfamiliar backcountry skiing and he had learned his lesson.
