Saturday Holly Theatre Tours: Take a one-hour tour between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, to see the ongoing restoration of the historic Holly Theatre, 226 W. Sixth St., Medford. Jefferson State Choral Coalition: The American jazz and popular music ensemble, directed by Kirby Shaw, will present "Reason for the Season" at 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, in the Music Recital Hall on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Look for such songs as "Let There Be Peace on Earth," "Baby, It's Cold Outside," "Go Tell It on the Mountain," "Carol of the Bells," "Shining Star," "Higher Love" and more. Tickets cost $10, $5 for students and children, and can be purchased at the SOU Performing Arts box office in the Theatre Arts Building, Paddington Station at 125 E. Main St., or online at jeffersonstatechoralcoalition.com. Jefferson Baroque Orchestra and Chorus: The ensemble, directed by Margaret Gries, will present "The Turning of the Year," a program including compositions by English composer Brian Collins, songs from Basque folklore, arrangements of German Christmas carols and English ballads, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Newman United Methodist Church, 132 N.E. B St., Grants Pass, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at First United Methodist Church, 175 N. Main St., Ashland. Tickets cost $18, $5 for students, and will be available at the door or by calling 541-683-6648.
