Tualatin ends Roseburg�s season ROSEBURG � In a game that saw all the scoring take place in about a six-minute span of the third quarter, undefeated Tualatin knocked off Roseburg 17-7 in the second round of the Class 4A state football playoffs Friday at Finlay Field. Tualatin (11-0) advances to the quarterfinals and will play Sheldon of Eugene. Roseburg, the Southern Oregon Conference runner-up, completes the season at 8-3. After Ian Lewallen kicked a 39-yard field to give Tualatin a 3-0 lead with 8:05 left in the third quarter, Roseburg answered back quickly. The Indians went 74 yards in three plays to take the lead on Scott Bone�s 52-yard touchdown pass to junior Cory Whitman. Alex Pintos� 22-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Justin McKillip completed a 68-yard march the next time Tualatin had the ball and put the Timberwolves back in front 10-7. On the third play of Roseburg�s ensuing possession, junior tailback Rod Cope fumbled and Pintos raced 49 yards with the turnover for the game�s final TD with 2:10 remaining in the quarter. The ground-oriented Timberwolves gained 223 yards rushing, with Gianncarlo Cargni leading the way with 130 yards. For the game, Tualatin had 256 yards in offense to 231 for Roseburg.
