Jackson County reports 55 weekend COVID-19 cases By Vickie Aldous By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Mar 07, 2022 04:28 PM A A The Oregon Health Authority reported 55 new COVID-19 cases for Jackson County Friday through Sunday, and six more COVID-19-related deaths. OHA reported 34 new COVID-19 cases in Josephine County and no deaths for the three-day period. Statewide, OHA reported 1,116 new COVID-19 cases Friday through Sunday and 35 more COVID-19-related deaths. The number of Oregon hospital patients with the virus fell from 375 Friday to 304 Monday, according to OHA data. The number of COVID-19 patients in Jackson and Josephine county hospitals dropped from 48 Friday to 40 Monday, according to state hospitalization data.
