ROADWORK Gold Ray Road closed at rail crossing Monday Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Feb. 19, 2015 at 3:27 PM Posted Feb. 19, 2015 at 3:27 PM » Social News Gold Ray Road will be closed at the rail crossing, near the former Gold Ray Dam site, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, during repairs by the Central Oregon and Pacific Railroad. Jackson County Roads & Parks reported the rail crossing is located at the end of the road's pavement and that the crossing will be impassable during the work. Motorists wishing to access the Rogue River downstream from the railroad work can access Upper River Road via Blackwell Road outside Gold Hill, officials said.
