World Day of Prayer set for March 4 in Ashland Comment MailTribune.com Writer Posted Feb. 19, 2016 at 1:17 PM Posted Feb. 19, 2016 at 1:17 PM » Social News A local World Day of Prayer service is scheduled for Friday, March 4, at Calvin Hall at the First Presbyterian Church, 1615 Clark Ave., Ashland. The ecumenical service will begin at 1 p.m. with refreshments and fellowship time to follow. A liturgy written by women of Cuba will be used in gatherings around the globe. The theme, “Receive Children, Receive Me,” is based on the story of Jesus’ welcoming the children his disciples had turned away. The local service, hosted by Presbyterian Women, will be led by women and girls from six different Christian traditions. All who wish to share in the service are welcome.
