Update: Police identify man killed in Medford shooting Police investigate the scene of an early-morning shooting that left one man dead in the parking lot of the Brentwood Apartments on Table Rock Road. [Mail Tribune / Denise Baratta] Wednesday Apr 12, 2017 at 8:41 AM Apr 12, 2017 at 3:09 PM Ryan Pfeil Mail Tribune @RyanPfeil A man was shot to death in the parking lot of a Medford apartment complex early this morning, and as many as two suspects are at large, according to Medford police. The victim, 25-year-old Jordan Scott Andres, was reportedly in the parking lot of the Brentwood Village Apartments, 2281 Table Rock Road, at about 2:42 a.m., according to Lt. Mike Budreau of the Medford Area Drug & Gang Enforcement task force. He was shot once in the chest. "He was shot in the parking lot, stumbled over to a stairwell where he died," Budreau said. At least one suspect reportedly fled in a dark-colored sedan. Police had no further descriptions of the vehicle or suspects. Andres died at the scene despite the efforts of citizens, police and responding firefighters who performed CPR.  Investigators remained on scene, interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. They plan to look through video surveillance footage, and hope to find additional cameras in the area they can analyze. Andres was not a resident of the apartment complex, but had been staying there temporarily, Budreau said, adding he was "well known" to law enforcement. A police news release described him as a transient. "We're going to develop some suspects here soon as we delve more into who this victim could have been in a dispute with," Budreau said. "But we certainly believe this is not a random act, and that it was targeted, or that the victim was involved in some type of a dispute with someone." Police expect to be on scene for much of the day. "We're going to keep working this until we've got it figured out," Budreau said.
