Call police to talk to neighbor My son and his family live in Medford and they are bothered by their neighbor�s peacocks. The birds come on my son�s property and mess all over. They squawk day and night, waking my son�s family out of a sound sleep every night. What can he do about this? � Deloris H., White City If your son tried persuading his neighbor to keep the peacocks quiet and failed, Deloris, tell him to call the police. The constant squawking could be an unnecessary noise violation, said Medford Lt. Tim George. "Instead of a barking dog, they�ve got barking peacocks," George said. Typically, police try to mediate between parties involved in a noise dispute. If that fails, police generally issue a warning before handing out citations, George said.
