October 14. 2014 12:05PM OSHA Conference taking place at Smullin Health Education Center The two-day Southern Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Conference runs Wednesday and Thursday in the Smullin Health Education Center on the campus of Rogue Regional Medical Center. The theme for this year's Conference is "The Business of Safety," showing how safety affects the bottom line, directly impacting profit and loss. Anil Mathur, CEO of Alaska Tanker Co., is the keynote speaker. His firm is the safest oil tanker company in the world recording 12 years and 14 million man-hours with one time-loss injury. The event starts at 8:15 a.m. both days.
