She was born December 4, 1928 in Burbank, Calif. to Samuel and Sally McDonald Dedmon. On January 6, 1947 she married Cecil Lee Sutton in Waldron, Ark. He preceded her in death May 2, 2006. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Cecil Leon. Tennie grew up in Heavner, Okla. She raised her four sons in Ventura, Calif. and Central Point, Ore. Although she worked briefly at JCPenneys, her life was dedicated to being a wife and mother. She was always proud of her four sons and helped with their activities, even serving as President of the Coast Little League Baseball Women's Auxiliary in Ventura, Calif. Her children will always remember her kindness, service, and her chocolate gravy and homemade biscuits. Survivors include her four sons, Roy of Scio, Ore., Gary (Chris) of Central Point, Ore., Darrell (Cindy) of Las Vegas, Nev., and Les (Bonnie) of Eagle Point, Ore; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Buck (Irma) Dedmon of Van Buren, Ark. Visitation from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, November 20 and 21, 2014 and services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday November 22, 2014 at Perl Funeral Home in Medford, Ore. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
