An Ashland police officer Friday arrested Birchfield on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail, where he remained late Friday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Janit Fay Brown, 36, of Walton Beach, Fla. A Shady Cove police officer Friday arrested Brown on warrants charging her with possession of amphetamines and failure to appear in court. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Friday on $100,000 bail. Failure to report — Timothy Joseph Nunez, 52, no known address. A Medford police officer Thursday arrested Nunez on charges of failure to report as a sex offender and a parole violation. He was lodged in jail without bail. Drugs — Navira Eleanor Smith, 23, of the 6000 block of Foley Lane, Central Point. A Jackson County sheriff’s deputy Friday arrested Smith on charges of possession of amphetamines, tampering with evidence and supplying contraband. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Friday on $14,000 bail. Theft — Joshua Lee Gibson, 26, of the 6000 block of Table Rock Road, Central Point. A Medford police officer Friday arrested Gibson on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Friday on $5,000 bail. Drugs — Shannon R. Chilton-Christiansen, 28, of the 9300 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. Chilton-Christiansen appeared Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with two counts of delivering amphetamines, two counts of manufacturing amphetamines and two counts of first-degree child neglect. She was booked into jail then released on her own recognizance. Advertisement Burglary, theft — Ryan James Hiebert, 24, of the 2200 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. Hiebert appeared Friday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with two counts of first-degree theft, first-degree burglary and failure to appear in court. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Thomas Lee Derrough, 47, of the 300 block of First Street, Gold Hill. Derrough appeared Friday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of amphetamines. He was booked into jail then released on his own recognizance. Crime reports Theft — 2300 block of Jacksonville Highway, Medford. A Medford police officer Friday took a report of a theft in which a red backpack and a leaf blower valued at $750 were stolen. Burglary — 300 block of Murphy Road, Medford. A Medford police officer Friday took a report of a burglary in which two wheelchairs valued at $700 were taken from a home.
