Bennett heads for familiar territory Tennille Bennett is returning home. The North Medford high-scoring forward, who helped the Black Tornado to three straight Southern Oregon Conference girls soccer titles, accepted a scholarship to Dixie Junior College in St. George, Utah, two weeks ago. Bennett is quite familiar with Utah. "I lived in Utah pretty much my whole life until my freshman year," said Bennett. "I know the town and wanted to go back." Bennett, who turns 18 today, was a three year starter for North. She was first team all-conference her junior and senior seasons in addition to receiving all-state recognition both years. Bennett led North in scoring in 1999 and was a key component to the Black Tornado's attack for three years. Bennett says the knack for her prolific scoring comes from a "quick first step" and "an eye for the net."
