She was born December 16, 1940 in Cirencester, England. P atty loved her family, fishing, camping, painting, sewing, bowling, watching her sports - Oregon Ducks, Washington Redskins and Seattle Mariners. Her home was filled with the sounds of Johnny Mathis, Roger Whitaker, and Kenny Rogers. She loved crocheting, and gave many hats and scarves to her friends, the homeless, and her cancer patients. Patty loved sitting outside and "Listening to the sounds of the day." She was loved by many and was a friend to everyone who knew her. Patty is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald Staniforth; children, Patty (Dan) May, Ronald Staniforth Jr.; Marie (Sam) Hess, Susie (Patrick) White; siblings, Sonia Herbert, Derek Garrett, Brian Garrett; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, William Garrett; mother, Irene Lee, and brother, Gordon Garrett. A celebration of her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her church, Harvest Baptist Temple, 2001 S. Columbus, Medford. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be sent to the Medford Gospel Mission.
