SOU pitcher Brown honored Southern Oregon softball pitcher Brandi Brown and a host of Oregon Tech players were named to the All-Region I softball team and Cascade Conference all-star team on Tuesday. Brown, a Raider sophomore, was joined on both all-star teams by Oregon Tech's Meagan Webber of Roseburg, who was named player of the year on each listing. Webber hit .435 and led the league in home runs (14), RBIs (59), doubles (18) and total bases (149). Also named to both teams for the league champion Owls (38-17, 14-4) were Leah Azevedo, Britta Duran, Leslie Ernstrom and Lindy Schneider. Mary Bradford and Dan Miles of OIT were named conference coaches of the year.
