James Asa Little May 11, 2018 12:00 AM A A March 11, 1937 - May 4, 2018 My name is James Asa Little. I was born on March 11, 1937 in Coahoma, Texas to Benjamin Franklin Little and Mary Gertrude Edwards Little. I had six sisters: Eris, Mary, Mona, Wilda, Wanda, and Trula. I had three brothers: Everett, Benjamin, and Daniel. I passed away on May 4, 2018. I had one son, Jeffrey Silvano Little Palmer. Different roads taken. With God’s blessings, I married the most important person in my life, Lyna Lee Lankford on November 27, 1964. The kindest, most loving lady I have ever known. All things considered, I have had a great life. From picking cotton at four years old, a very successful business career, a patent holder, building a wilderness ranch, and training horses. I loved all my dogs, cats, and horses. I loved Lyna, skiing, fishing, hunting, the mountains, and golf. I served in the U.S. Navy, Air Attack Squadron 95. I regret that I was not a better son, brother, husband, or friend, and that I didn’t fully find God earlier. To those of you left, so long. It’s been good to know you. Be happy, enjoy life, and maybe I will see you again. Sure hope so!!! “I was the master of my fate: I was the captain of my soul.” Invictus by William Ernest Henley. Jim and family wish to thank Dr. Nadia, Dr. Metz, and all of the hospice nurses: Robbie, Susan, Rhonda, Tom, Carrie, Mary, and Chaplain Pandora. As per Jim’s request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Jim requested that donations be made to Asante Hospice, Medford, Oregon. James Asa Little
