Rain postpones T'Jacks contest The unseasonably wet weather is playing havoc with the Southern Oregon Timberjacks' Northwest League baseball schedule. After getting rained out two of three games at Eugene last weekend, Southern Oregon had Tuesday's game against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes postponed at Miles Field when late afternoon thunderstorms struck the area. The Timberjacks will play back-to-back doubleheaders against Eugene at Miles Field Sept. 1-2. Team officials did not yet set a makeup date with the Volcanoes, who return to Medford for a three-game series Aug. 25-27. Southern Oregon hosts the Portland Rockies in a three-game series beginning at 7:05 p.m. today. The Timberjacks lead the Rockies by 4 games in the Southern Division of the NWL.
