The Crusaders, who have won nine straight, will next face Blanchet Catholic in the state quarterfinals at Marshfield High in Coos Bay at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Crennen hit a key 3-pointer and went 4-for-5 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, helping St. Mary's rally after trailing by six entering the finale frame. He was 10 of 12 overall from the charity stripe. The Crusaders (20-6) outscored the Red Devils (20-6), 18-8, in the fourth. The home team led, 28-27, at halftime. "The guys really stepped up," St. Mary's head coach Greg Conway said. Tyler West finished with seven points, including a timely bucket with 3 minutes to go, and three assists, and Kele Eaton added six points and four assists. Blanchet Catholic (22-5) beat Horizon Christian, 54-34, on Saturday. The Cavaliers won the PacWest Conference with an 11-1 record. Blanchet Catholic is seeded third, while St. Mary’s is sixth. Carson Cochran had 13 points and six rebounds and Brandon Winter six points and six rebounds for the Challengers, who trailed 18-17 at halftime and 35-31 entering the fourth quarter. Cascade Christian finished the year 19-8 overall. Santiam Christian (18-7) will face De La Salle North Catholic in the state quarterfinals. RVA (23-3) will face Mountain Valley League foe Hosanna Christian in the state quarterfinals at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in Baker. The Hawks, who have won 15 straight, have never advanced this far. Hannah Wood recorded 11 points and three rebounds, Savanah Zamora eight points, nine assists and six steals and Rose Tovar eight points and eight rebounds for RVA, which led 32-14 at halftime against No. 15 Griswold (18-10). Carli Zamora added six points and four rebounds. The Hawks are 3-0 against Hosanna Christian this season, winning by an average margin of nearly 10 points.
