Linus van Pelt of "Peanuts" fame would find pumpkin patches, haunted corn fields and other seasonal activities at local farms through the month of October. Here is what's happening this weekend: White's Country Farm, 3939 Jacksonville Highway, Medford, will open its giant corn maze from 4-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 4-10 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through October. The giant corn maze becomes haunted after 6:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday. A children's corn maze and pumpkin patch will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., along with wagon and pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting and games. Food also will be available. Call 773-8031. Pheasant Fields Farm, 1865 Camp Baker Road, Phoenix, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through October for its annual Harvest Festival. Activities include a pumpkin patch, a children's corn maze, horse-drawn hayrides, a vintage farm equipment display, a mini-pumpkin shooting gallery, pony rides, a farm animal exhibit and face painting. The Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association will present antique tractors on Saturday, Oct. 15, and Montana Soul will present country and folk music from 1 to 4 p.m. The farm's Country Store will offer fall produce and seasonal items, and Grandma's Country Kitchen will be serving apple cider, soda, hot dogs, sandwiches and caramel apples. Admission to the festival is free. Tickets are available for other events. The Farm, 51 S. Stage Road, Medford, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday and offers activities such as a pumpkin patch, a farm animal petting zoo, a hay maze, pony rides and a general store. Hay rides will be available Saturdays and Sundays. Call 535-1316. Joshua Farms will hold a pumpkin sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the farm, 4366 Old Sam's Valley Road, Sam's Valley.
