Lacey Rae Castleberry, 30, of the 1400 block of Hillcourt Street, was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of first-degree burglary and third-degree theft. However, she failed to appear for her court hearing and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Castleberry allegedly went into a home in the 1600 block of East Main Street through an unlocked sliding glass door on March 2, according to court records. She then ate leftover pizza and prepared another frozen pizza, according to an affidavit. "Castleberry also defecated in the pool house restroom and used shower drapes to clean herself off," the affidavit said. Medford police also allege she disconnected the resident's Internet router in a bedroom. At the time she was taken into custody, Castleberry allegedly had a flash drive belonging to the resident in her pants pocket. She was released on her own recognizance after her March 2 arrest. A check of circuit court records statewide showed no other criminal cases involving Castleberry going back at least five years.
