"It was unanimous, and it was unanimous right away," juror Larry Gutierrez said after the verdict was read Wednesday. Thomas Reese, 46, was charged with shooting Corey Medina, 43, in July 2005 outside Medina's Grants Pass print shop after learning of the affair. Reese had moved to Tacoma, Wash., shortly before the shooting. Reese contended he was under the influence of an extreme emotional disturbance, and therefore less responsible for his actions. Gutierrez said Reese went to the scene of the killing well armed, so the jury rejected the defense. A sentencing hearing has not been set. Would you like to respond to this story?
