The one-term membership fee will provide full member benefits for the spring offerings. Members can select from 112 courses this term, with classes in Ashland, Medford and other Rogue Valley venues, space permitting. There is no cost beyond the membership fee. More than 1,600 adults are currently signed up for OLLI’s offerings. Spring classes include art, dance, film, games, health, history, literature, music, personal development, science, technology and writing. The classes are intended to provide educational opportunities to community members, without tests or grades. March 11 is the deadline for requesting courses before a computerized lottery that gives everyone an equal chance of being assigned to over-subscribed courses. After that date, enrollment is available on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the term. There is no age restriction on membership, but the program is geared toward those 50 and older. Membership fees are kept low through member donations and funding from the Bernard Osher Foundation. For more information about OLLI, including a complete catalog of courses offered this spring, see www.sou.edu/olli or call 541-552-6048.
