Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend January 15, 2006 Comets claim Oregon Classic title REDMOND — Cody Clark and Charlie Alexander put the finishing touches on a perfect weekend for the Crater High wrestling team. Clark and Alexander registered much-needed falls as the No. 1-ranked Comets stormed from behind to defeat No. 3 Hermiston, 39-30, in the championship match of the Oregon Classic. The dual meet tournament brings together the top high school squads in the state. "As the tournament went along, we got stronger," said Crater coach Greg Haga, whose Comets won three matches Friday and two more on Saturday. "Our kids are starting to get after it. They know the end of the season isn’t that far away."
