JERRY COLE Oct 30, 2004 12:00 AM A A Jerry Cole was peacefully — united with the Great Spirit on October 26, 2004. His passing was unexpected; — yet a perfect model of his love of family, good friends, good food & conversation. — Jerry& 39;s last day on earth was spent having breakfast with his friend — Katie Cooper, lunch with his brother Marshall & a marathon of long distance — telephone conversations with numerous friends, his brother Stephen in — Atlanta, GA & his caretaker of 8& 189; years, Tasa Painter. — As the first born of Tex & Belle — Cole, born in Waco, Texas on April 13, 1936, Jerry entered the world as — developmentally disabled. From the beginning his parents showered him — with unconditional love, care & support. With their passing, that same — love & support was provided by his brothers Marshall & Stephen Cole & — his beloved sister Marta Cole Traister (who preceded him in death). — Jerry moved from Texas to the Rogue — Valley in 1984. His social calendar rivaled the busiest executive or socialite. — Driven by his thirst to know about the world, to count & remember important — facts, Jerry was a subscriber to two newspapers. He could quote you that — day& 39;s full weather forecast or even recount it for the week. A television — was not necessary to keep you current on sports scores and even scores — from ten or twenty years back. Jerry knew it & remembered it all. — A life jam-packed with his "jobs" — of watching each television news report, listening to the station that — played oldies, taking out the trash, recycling, doing the laundry, calling — his friends and keeping in close contact so that his schedule of lunch — dates was always full...Jerry lived a life we could all aspire too. — Surrounded by love, friends, family, — nieces & nephew Leah, Davi, Saara Traister & Suzanne & Adam Cole, grandnieces — & newphews--Jerry will be sorely missed. His funeral took place on October — 29, 2004 at the Temple Emanuel Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. — A memorial service for his Oregon — family will be held on November 20, 2004 (place and time to be announced — later). He& 39;ll also be — interested in what you brought to the pot luck. — " — Wanda Luree Gibbs 12/25/1922 - 10/17/2004 — — Due to a long illness, Wanda Luree — Gibbs died October 17, 2004. She was born in Lorenzo, Nebraska on December — 25, 1922 to Robert Dewey and Lois Francesca Reynolds. — Wanda worked as a medical technologist — in Oregon and Alaska. A long-time resident of Talent, Oregon, she was — a board member of the Talent Historical Society. — In 2002, Wanda moved to St. Peters, — Missouri with her daughter until her passing. — She leaves behind five children, — their spouses, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and two brothers. — Her first husband and friend, Melvin Conley and their son, Lyndel "Butch" — Conley of Crescent City, CA. Her daughters; Dixie Hannon of Salem, Diana — Huston of Hood River, Jorjene Twaddle of Medford and Judie Foster-Lupkin — of St. Peters, MO. Brothers Wendell Reynolds of Santa Barbara, CA and — Donald Reynolds of Eagle Point, OR. Her Husband Warren Gibbs and her brother — Kenneth Reynolds preceded her in death. — A celebration of her life will be — held in Oregon in the Spring of 2005. — In lieu of flowers, Wanda requested — any donations be sent to: Dogs for the Deaf, 10175 Wheeler Rd., Central — Point, OR 97502
