"It hit a log," firefighter Taylor Wold with Jackson County Fire District 4 said. The call came in at 9:52 a.m. Saturday near Takelma Park and Dodge Bridge in Shady Cove, Wold said. Fire District 4 assisted the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Wold said. A call to the sheriff's office wasn't immediately returned Saturday afternoon. Fire District 3's technical rescue team was also involved in the water rescue.
