Seldon runs wild as Warriors top Outlaws JACKSONVILLE -- Tommy Seldon ran for 164 yards and three touchdowns, including a game-breaking 63-yarder late in the contest, to lead the Rogue Warriors to a 28-7 Oregon Football League victory over the Douglas Outlaws Saturday. The semipro game was played at Cascade Christian High School. The Warriors -- 5-0 and ranked ninth in the country -- led only 14-7 with five minutes left, and Douglas had marched inside the Rogue 30-yard line. But Outlaws quarterback Juan Garechana turned the ball over with his first interception, and Seldon took advantage. The running back went the distance on the Warriors' next to dash the Outlaws' (1-4) hopes of an upset. Seldon finished off the scoring with a 54-yard run. Earlier, he ran 10 yards to pull the Warriors into a 7-7 tie in the second quarter. Seldon's 164 yards came on only 13 carries. Rogue quarterback Arron Stiegeler was 9-for-18 for 197 yards. He threw an 82-yard touchdown to tight end Chad Thorne and was twice intercepted. David Douglas had six catches for 101 yards for the Warriors, and fullback Thad Simeral gained 51 yards on five carries. Rogue takes on the Multnomah County Buccaneers Saturday in a non-conference game at Douglas High in Winston.
