The session is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at Pony Espresso, 545 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville. A past president of SOSA and a longtime member of the songwriting community, Fischer has co-produced and recorded many albums, including three by his band Penguins on a Rock. Fischer is a winner of the 1997 TNN Country Song Contest, the 1998 Univision Song Contest, and he was a finalist in the 2000 John Lennon Song Contest. Fischer's songs range from intimate reflections to rhythmic choral arrangements. His song "Zanzibar" is featured on SOSA's 2008 sampler CD. Admission is free. Sign-ups are at 5:45 p.m.   Table Rocks Music Festival   The third annual music festival will showcase chart-topping rock bands Candlebox, Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, Adelita's Way and Orgy at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Lithia Amphitheater at The Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. There will be an auction for a guitar, body painting, vendors and concessions. Tickets cost $25, ages 12 and younger get in free, tickets can be purchased at Magic Man, 42 Degrees and Bad Ass Coffee in Medford, at Music Coop in Ashland or at the gate.    Gipsy Kings with Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo   Fronted for 25 years by songwriters and producers Nicolas Reyes and Tonino Baliardo, Gipsy Kings create music that crosses all borders. From its 1987 debut album — which introduced South America’s rumba rhythm married to a fleet attack of flamenco guitars — to its newest, "Savor Flamenco," the group's sound reflects the constant travel and diverse influences of Gypsy heritage. Gipsy Kings performs at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 First St., Jacksonville. Flamenco artists Grant Ruiz, Berto Boyd and Elena Villa will perform at 6 p.m. in Britt's Performance Garden. Tickets cost $67 for reserved seats, $42 for lawn, $32 for ages 12 and younger, $288 for premium blanket seating for four, $144 for premium blanket seating for two, and can be purchased at the Britt box office, 216 W. Main St., Medford, online at brittfest.org or by calling 800-882-7488.   Rogue Gallery & Art Center   Portland artist Carole Murphy's "Embedded Meaning," an exhibit of sculpture and three-dimensional wall hangings, will be displayed through Friday, Sept. 18, in the main gallery of the Rogue Gallery & Art Center, 40 S. Bartlett St., Medford.  President of Pacific Northwest Sculptors, Murphy chisels, shapes and molds wood, stone and concrete into organic abstracts that are elegantly evocative of primitive cultures and natural forms. Some of her pieces have fluid shapes while others have strong, rough textures from primal inspirations. She uses recycled steel, aerated cement, fiber clay made from recycled paper and found objects. The gallery's hours are  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.   "Weird Al" Yankovic   The Grammy Award-winning parody singer will perform songs from his 2014 album "Mandatory Fun" and others at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Britt Pavilion, 350 First St., Jacksonville. "Mandatory Fun" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200, the first time a comedy album has topped the chart in history. The album also set a record for having the most tracks from one album in the Top 10 on Spotify. The album features parodies of the biggest hits of the past year, including Pharrell Williams' "Happy" ("Tacky"), Lorde's "Royals" (Fouil"), Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" ("Handy") and Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" ("Inactive"). DJ Gemineye will spin music at 6 p.m. in Britt's Performance Garden. Food trucks from Back Porch Bar and Grill and C Street Bistro will be on site. Tickets cost $45 for reserved, $35 for lawn, $29 for ages 12 and younger, $166 for premium blanket seating for four, $94 for premium blanket seating for two, and can be purchased at the Britt box office, 216 W.
