Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend September 2, 2005 Fugitive described as ‘dangerous’ flees officers, gets away A man wanted by police on multiple felony warrants remains on the loose Thursday after running from police during a traffic stop. At around noon, a Medford police officer stopped a car driven by Justin Warren Workman, 24, near the 2200 block of Highway 62. During the stop, Workman, who is wanted by police for parole violations, got out of the car and ran off near a bike path near Bear Creek, Medford police Lt. Tim George said. The officer chased Workman, but was unable to catch him. Soon after, six officers and a police dog joined the search. A brushy area near the creek made tracking Workman difficult, George said. Workman had a female passenger in the car, who was detained by police, but not charged with a crime, George said. George described Workman as a potentially dangerous fugitive, who has a long list of felony convictions, including first-degree theft, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary and possession of a controlled substance. "There is a caution indicator on his warrant," George said. "He has a hit on his prior warrants for carrying a concealed weapon." Advertisement George is not sure if Workman is armed, but warns that anyone who sees him should be cautious and call police immediately. "I consider him dangerous," George said. Workman is described as a white male, five feet 11 inches tall and approximately 190 pounds. He has very short blond hair and blue eyes. "You can’t miss him," George said. "He has a very large tribal skull tattoo on his throat." Anyone with information is asked to call Medford police at 770-4783.
