MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 4, 2014 @ 1:06 pm Posted Sep. 4, 2014 @ 1:06 pm » Social News A Medford woman has been cited for careless driving after rear-ending another car and shoving it into a school bus that was unloading students in the 500 block of Hanley Road Wednesday afternoon, police said.  None of the students on the bus nor its driver was injured in the crash, according to an Oregon State Police news release.  Elizabeth Devaughn, 18, was cited for careless driving, the release said.  Driving a Nissan Altima, Devaughn was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop before ramming into the back of a 48-year-old woman's Toyota Camry, which was stopped behind a Medford School District bus that was dropping off kids, the release said.  The collision forced the Toyota into the back of the bus, causing minor damage to the rear bumper, the release said.  Both Devaughn and the 48-year-old woman were transported to Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, the release said.  Another bus was brought to the scene to finish transporting the students to their designated stops.  The crash blocked the road for about an hour.  — Sam Wheeler MailTribune.com Writer Posted Sep. 4, 2014 @ 1:06 pm » Comment or view comments Reader Reaction » STAY INFORMED Email NewsLetter Sign Up Today Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox. calendar Connect with MailTribune.com Facebook Twitter RSS Back to top Reader Services Reader Services Home Subscriptions Subscriber controls Contact us Submissions Photos Events Letters to the editor Corrections Announcements Obituaries Story ideas Since you asked Alerts Email Alerts RSS Feeds Text Alerts Advertise Media Kit Home Products and services Ad rates Advertising contacts Mail Tribune Daily Tidings The Nickel Shop Our Valley Blogs Stay Informed Email newsletter Sign Up Today Sign up for our newsletter and have the top headlines from your community delivered right to your inbox.
