Letters, Oct. 10 By Mail Tribune readers Oct 10, 2022 12:00 AM A A Reelect Rick Dyer I have had the chance to know Rick Dyer for nearly 20 years. In that time, to name a few things, I have watched him grow businesses, raise a great family, and help guide our county successfully as commissioner. Rick brings to the position integrity, thoroughness and a desire to do the right thing. One of the more telling attributes of his leadership was guiding us through such unknown and challenging times of crisis between dealing with COVID and the devastating Almeda fires. Rick collaborates, listens and applies what he learns in a logical manner. Please join me in voting to reelect Rick Dyer to keep moving our county forward! David Wright Medford Vote for Talent candidates I am extraordinarily proud of my husband, Kevin Zimmerer, and some other incredible citizens of Talent that are running for Talent elected positions this November. As someone who lost his home in the Almeda Fire, Kevin knows the challenges that face people returning home and the critical importance of the fire department heroes when minutes count. Defunding them or other critical services should not be an option for our town. We need to support the fire, police, RVTD, schools, Talent city employees and libraries so that families and businesses want to return to Talent. I hope you will join me in voting for this amazing slate of transparent and ethical candidates that will guide Talent into the future. Please join me in supporting: Mark Anderson — Mayor Deric Manzi — Position 1 Kevin Zimmerer — Position 3 Philip “Jack” Lanni — Position 4 Cynthia Jones — Position 5 Sheryl Zimmerer Talent Vote for Dyer I have known Rick Dyer most of my life. He was my next-door neighbor. I bought my first vehicles from dealerships he successfully managed. I coached his son, one of the finest young men I’ve been around over 16 years. I worked alongside Rick as we led a movement for Oregon’s youth to return their sports. I cannot find an example of a leader with more integrity, knowledge of local and state issues and productive problem solving than Rick, showing conviction to ask the tough questions and resolve to persevere through the tough answers with a positive outlook. Rick battled the toughest issues at the toughest times. Whether finding economic solutions for local businesses, or leading a coalition of support during the wildfire tragedy, Rick is out in front, leading with conviction and a compassionate ear. Please join me in voting for Rick Dyer for Jackson County commissioner! Jim Bosworth Medford
