Jackson County reports 45 weekend COVID-19 cases By Vickie Aldous By Mail Tribune staff Updated: Mar 14, 2022 04:44 PM A A The Oregon Health Authority reported 45 new COVID-19 cases for Jackson County from Friday through Sunday and no additional COVID-19-related deaths. OHA reported 23 cases for Josephine County during the three-day period and no deaths. Statewide, OHA reported 775 new COVID-19 cases Friday through Sunday, along with 16 more COVID-19-related deaths that occurred in January, February and March, according to OHA. Those who died ranged from 48 to 105 years old, with most in their 70s and 80s, OHA data show. On Monday, 248 Oregon hospital patients had the virus, OHA said. Jackson and Josephine county hospitals were caring for 29 patients with the virus Monday, according to hospitalization data.
