The former Rogue River High standout and Oregon State University golfer eagled No. 16 to improve to 4-under. Reese Fisher fired a 69 to move into second place. He and Murphy were tied before the junior-to-be at South Medford birdied No. 16. Those two, along with Oregon Tech’s Tyler Swinton — who shot a 70 — will tee off today at 1:45 p.m. with the city championship crown at stake. Bryce Wortman recorded a 73 and Josh Wu 74 in the men’s championship division. In the men’s open, Dan Keck set the pace after firing a 76. The other leaders are Brad Bills (men’s junior-senior), Steve Wood (men’s senior), Jon Paauwe (men’s super senior) and Kelly Loeb (women).
