Workshop shows how to maximize Social Security Wednesday Feb 7, 2018 at 4:43 PM Feb 7, 2018 at 4:43 PM Linda Clarkson and Melissa Mlasko of Futurity First will offer a one-hour workshop on selecting the right time to take Social Security income in such a way that it offers couples the maximum benefit. The workshop is set for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave. Information at the workshop will help people make sound financial choices about their retirement benefits. It will also cover strategies used to increase income and how Social Security is taxed. The workshop is free. To register, call 541-973-2100.
