Mustangs maul Spartans Oct 21, 2017 12:00 AM A A The Southern Oregon Spartans were unable to climb out from a 4-1 first-period deficit and Ogden’s Matus Spodniak tallied four goals in the Mustangs’ 7-3 victory in Western States Hockey League action Friday at The RRRink. The Spartans (1-9) received a goal each from Kalem Nohnych, Cole Hutzkal and Ty-Andrew Traynor, and Jakub Mecir doled out a pair of assists. Ogden of the WSHL Mountain Division upped its record to 9-3 overall. The WSHL series continues at 7:30 tonight at The RRRink.
