Santiago Flores-Loveland, 18, pleaded guilty to the charge in Jackson County Circuit Court, records show. A charge of conspiracy to commit assault was dismissed. Jackson County prosecutor Ginger Greer said Flores-Loveland was sentenced to 19 months in prison with two years of post-prison supervision. He is the last of four men and a juvenile to be sentenced in the case. Oregon law defines riot as five or more people engaging in "tumultuous and violent conduct and thereby intentionally or recklessly creates a grave risk of causing public alarm." Flores-Loveland, whose hyphenated last name sometimes appears as Loveland-Flores in court records, had been in the Jackson County Jail since May 26. Prior to that, he was in jail in California on an unrelated weapons charge. The conviction stems from a Sept. 16 incident at a Narregan Street apartment complex in west Medford where a gun was fired into an empty stairwell as two groups argued outside the complex. The shooter, 18-year-old Phoenix resident Tyler Jesse Sandoval, fired three shots into the stairwell. No one was hit, though several people were nearby, including a 6-year-old child. Sandoval turned 18 in May, but was tried as an adult and convicted on two counts of attempted murder April 25. He was sentenced to more than seven years in prison. Latraveon Deshawn Wesley, 19, was convicted on two counts of riot and sentenced April 26 to 25 months in prison, court records show. Alonzo Lee McBrown, 32, was sentenced April 26 to 15 months in prison after being found guilty of riot and conspiracy to commit assault. The juvenile also pleaded guilty to a riot charge.
