Disc jockey will work like a dog to raise money for animal shelter Radio personality Michele Michaels is literally in the doghouse with Jackson County today. Michaels, a local disc jockey for KISS 107 FM, will be collared by Jackson County Animal Control officers at 6 a.m. and placed inside a kennel at the county's Phoenix facility. Michaels will spend today broadcasting live from inside that kennel in hopes of raising money for the Friends of the Animal Shelter. "I already live with four dogs and four cats and a shaggy husband, so this will be cleaner and quieter," Michaels said. "I'm looking forward to it." Donations will be accepted at the animal shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Highway, and at the Human Bean coffee stands in Ashland, Phoenix, Medford and Central Point. Donations of pet food, kitty litter, blankets and bleach are also welcome. All donations are tax deductible.
