She was born November 15, 1945 to John Deforest Angell and Adelaide (Townsend) Angell in Bronxville, N.Y. Gail studied theatre arts at Southern Oregon College in Ashland and Clark Community College in Vancouver, Wash. Nursing training allowed for a long career helping others as an LPN. Gail loved life and lived it to its fullest, a bon vivant with a great sense of humor and a zest for life that was unmatched. She had a fondness for family, small children, dogs, theatre, rock music, Oprah, Jimmy Fallon, Dr. Oz, root beer floats, and ice cream sundaes. The last 11 years of her life were spent in Ashland near her sister, Wendy, where she also became an ardent fan of the Oregon Ducks. She is survived by her son, Jonathon Edward Angell (Suna Yalaz); her grandchildren, Ava Neyyir and Sara Townsend of Kensington, Calif.; her sisters, Wendy Angell Ross (Michael) of Ashland, Ore. and Karen Blaine Angell of Denver, Colo.; her brother, Myron Townsend Angell of Portland, Ore.; five nieces and nephews, and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John D. Angell Jr. A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 87 Fourth St., Ashland, Ore. 97520. Memorial contributions may be made to Dogs For the Deaf, Inc., 10175 Wheeler Road, Central Point, Ore. 97502.
