"Dancing Salmon Home" tells the story of how members of the Winnemem Wintu tribe, based near Mount Shasta, traveled to New Zealand to meet with the Maori people of the region, who helped them reintroduce salmon to the McCloud River. Chief Caleen Sisk of the Winnemem Wintu tribe and documentary filmmaker Will Doolittle will be on hand to speak and answer questions. Cost for the event, which includes a light dinner, is $15-25 on a sliding scale. Tickets are available by calling 541-622-5358 or emailing [email protected]. Remaining tickets will also be sold at the door.
