UseObjects="1" ObjectClass="81" Taxonomywords="2325,665" ExactTaxonomyMatch="1" Image="1" Count="4" --> Betty Louise Dawson Betty Louise Dawson, 79, of Phoenix, Ore. passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was born July 8, 1935 in Medford, Ore. to Ray and Lillain Hendrickson. Betty  married  Dennis L. Dawson on June 8, 1952. She worked as a library aide with the Phoenix School District for 30 years Her hobbies included baking, camping, traveling and loving. Betty was a beautiful, loving mother. She extended her nurturing, loving nature to everyone unconditionally. Betty spent the last 11 years of her 30 year career as the Librarian at the Orchard Hill Elementary School where she loved every child as if they were her own. Betty was also dedicated to her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 62 years, Dennis Dawson.  They lived their whole lives in the Rogue Valley with the exception of a late in life romantic bed and breakfast adventure being the adorable innkeepers of the Grey Whale Inn on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California. There she amazed friends and guests with wonderful coffee cakes and pastries that were full of love in every bite. All the guests loved them.  She touched people's souls with her profound love, and will be deeply missed. Betty is survived by her husband, Dennis Dawson, Medford, Ore; son Michael Dawson, Fort Bragg, Calif. daughters Debby Dawson, Cave Junction, Ore. and Denise Boyer, St. Helens, Ore.; sister Alice Williams, Medford, Ore.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara  Marlega, Medford, Ore. There will be a memorial service on Friday, April 24, 1915 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens, 1395 Arnold Lane, Medford. Mike Foster of Phoenix Presbyterian Church will officiate.
