Is this still true? What do we do with the heavier papers if we don’t care to fill our landfills with the stuff? — John M., Medford Why, burn them of course! We’re just kidding here at Since You Asked World Headquarters, so please, no phone calls. Seriously, it depends on how convenient you want your recycling effort to be, at least for now. We asked Don Cordell, manager of Rogue Disposal and Recycling, and he said they currently accept newspaper, magazines and phone books in the new co-mingled recycling bins. Advertisement "We are actively looking at evaluating the papers we will accept in our co-mingled bin," he said, adding that they will probably expand what they accept curbside. In the meantime, you can recycle just about any kind of paper you want, including junk mail (but please remove the plastic wrappers and extras such as plastic cards or CDs) at the transfer station at 8001 Table Rock Road in White City.
