Progressively inspired."  The cost of the rebranding, compared to similar local efforts, proved fairly economical. Diane Raymond, executive director before and after the change to Metro Medford, said Medford Urban Renewal Agency provided a grant of $50,000, allowing the downtown group to promote downtown. "It was fairly inexpensive for a rebranding," Raymond said. "For $50,000, we were able to do an awful lot." She said $5,000 was used to develop the brand name and logo and develop an accompanying style guide.  "When you develop a brand logo, you identify the fonts and color pallet for those using it," Raymond said. "It was all done by a marketing committee, including downtown merchants with a design background and a city liaison." Additional money from the grant was spent on Rogue Valley Transportation District bus signs and downtown banners. By comparison, she said, the Medford Visitor and Convention Bureau makeover to Travel Medford cost $80,000. Send questions to “Since You Asked,” Mail Tribune Newsroom, P.O.
