Jason Ryan Fries, of the 500 block of Hamilton Street, was jailed on two counts of third-degree sex abuse and one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct. Investigators believe that Fries not only had sex with Cheryl King while they were both living in Medford, but also videotaped it, said Medford police Lt. Mike Moran. The Medford Police Department issued warrants for Fries’ arrest last month. King also faces possible theft charges for allegedly stealing money from her parents’ home on Newtown Street before she ran away with Fries on Aug. 28, Moran said. Medford police received information from a local resident Friday that Fries and King were living in Durango. Police contacted King at her and Fries’ apartment Friday morning. Fries was arrested later at his workplace.
