These workshops have been designed for the Rogue Valley business community, taking into account such things as the area’s economic climate, culture and local and tourist demographics. The first workshop, “Create a Successful Crowdfunding Campaign,” is at 9 a.m. March 31 in the Higher Education Center in downtown Medford with Donnie Maclurcan. Maclurcan will share strategies used during campaigns on sites such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo in which he raised more than $100,000. Umpqua Bank-sponsored workshops include: “Everything is Possible with Marketing” by Ginger Johnson, “The Power of Publicity (How to get ink, air, and face time in the media)” by Lisa Manyon, and “Understanding Financials for the Everyday Business Person” by Jack Vitacco and Russ Kennedy. The cost is $75 per workshop or $225 for the series. For information, call 541-552-8300 or register online at sou.edu/sbdc/fuelingup.html .
