World War II vet's million-dollar wound By Mail Tribune Dec 21, 2007 12:00 AM A A Bob Kyle remembers his short stint fighting the Germans in France. Tagged by a piece of shrapnel in his jaw, the wound got him out of France until after the war in Europe had finished.
