Bar fire contained at 15 acres Jun 24, 2017 12:00 AM A A Local report APPLEGATE — Firefighters have fully contained a wildfire that grew to 15 acres in the Seattle Bar area near Applegate Lake. Crews of about 80 secured the perimeter Friday night, according to Bureau of Land Management spokesman Jim Whittington, and remained on scene today doing mop-up work. The Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest had battled hot, dry temperatures and steep conditions since the fire, believed to be human-caused, was first reported after 10 p.m. Wednesday southwest of Seattle Bar, near a popular day-use and camping area.
