Oregon Road Conditions & Cams Email Story to a Friend November 13, 2005 Curtis Eugene Caldwell Convicted sex offender sought by police Jackson County Community Corrections and Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon are seeking the public’s help in locating convicted felon and registered sex offender Curtis Eugene Caldwell. Caldwell was arrested and convicted of three counts of first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sodomy in 1997. His victim was a 17-year-old. He was sentenced to 74 months at the Oregon State Penitentiary and released in November 2004. As a registered sex offender, Caldwell is required by law to report his new address within 10 days of moving or within 10 days of his birthday. The last time Caldwell registered was on March 17, 2005, with an address in Medford. Because Caldwell has violated the terms of his parole, a no-bail felony warrant has been issued for his arrest by the State Parole and Probation Board. Caldwell, born Aug. 8, 1960, is described as a white male adult, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 280 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a pierced left ear and wears glasses. Those who see Caldwell or have information on his whereabouts are asked to call Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 800-3-DETECT (800-333-8328) and refer to case No. MT-169. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case or any unsolved criminal activity. Callers can remain anonymous.
