Junior bowlers honored for season by local houses Six individuals were named the 2000 junior bowlers of the year for the Medford area Young American Bowling Alliance Saturday at the Rogue Valley Bowling Association and Medford Women's Bowling Association Awards Banquet. Richard MacInnis and Amber Rennick were selected the top boy and girl from Medford Lanes; Charles Tester and Holli Gibson took the honors at Roxy Ann Lanes; and Jeff Allen and Bianca Montagnino received the honors at Trinity Lanes in Ashland. MacInnis has been involved with the YABA for seven years. He had high a game of 299 and finished with a high series of 697 this season while holding a 188 average. MacInnis also fared well at the 2000 city tournament, where he was a member of the first-place team. He also took the top spot with a 642 scratch series. Rennick sported a 130 average and rolled a high game of 200 to go along with a top series of 525 this year. She too fared well at the city tournament with a first place in the doubles event. Tester maintained a 183 average and rolled a 258 high game and 657 high series. He earned fourth-place honors at the city tournament in the scratch singles category. Gibson scored a high game of 245. She held down a 167 average and had a 629 high series to go along with taking first in scratch singles and handicapped events at the city tournament. Allen rolled three 600-plus series this season, with a 676 being the best. He also notched a 280 as his high game and was on Ashland High's district championship team. Montagnino also was a major contributor in leading Ashland High team to the district title. She scored a 659 high series and a 269 high game during the season.
