Sally was born in Ireland in the small town of Balla, County Mayo. She left Ireland when she was 18 years old to live and work in England. She then immigrated to the U.S. when she was 25 and worked as a legal secretary and telephone operator before marrying Jack and raising three boys. Sally loved the U.S., but always remained true to her Irish roots. Sally loved music and loved to entertain. She was selfless and always there for family, friends, and even strangers. Sally was always active in her Church, and her Catholic faith was extremely important to her. Sally was an advocate for children, helping children to read in the Ashland School District. She had a real zest for life and left an impression on everyone she met. Sally loved people and touched many people's hearts. She was one of a kind. Sally had a long and fulfilling life and will live on in our blessed memories. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 11 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bandon, Ore. Interment and reception will follow.
