Police release details of bank robber Dec 12, 2008 12:00 AM A A EAGLE POINT — Still on the hunt for a man who robbed a credit union Wednesday, police have released surveillance photos and additional details about the robber. The suspect in the robbery reported just before 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Rogue Federal Credit Union branch at 10572 Highway 62 is described as a bearded, middle-aged man about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. He was wearing a green jacket, black pants, white tennis shoes and a dark blue stocking cap with a narrow gold stripe and a wide red stripe, police said. The suspect presented a note to a teller, police said. The note said he had a gun, but no weapon was seen during the robbery. He provided a black bag that the teller put an undisclosed amount of cash into. The robbery suspect then walked out, across a parking lot shared with a small shopping center and several restaurants, and disappeared behind other buildings, police said. A search by officers and a Jackson County Sheriff's Department dog didn't find the man. Detective Sgt. Jim Gray heads the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information can call police at 826-9171.
